This past Saturday, my beautiful baby sister graduated from the University of Alabama. Talk about feeling old! Unfortunately, I wasn't able to attend. Although several thousand people are probably thanking me for not bring the Finnster to the graduation ceremony. However, it is a special occasion and I am still sad I wasn't able to share in Lindsey's Big Day.
I am so incredibly proud of her--all of her accomplishments (both academic and social!), but more importantly the amazing woman she became in the process. She has always been a smart, funny, talented and obviously beautiful girl, but before college I don't think she believed it. College transformed her, as it does many of us, and she really matured and came into her own. Wow, I am totally sounding like an American Idol judge! But, it's true.
Lindsey, I know you are sad to say goodbye to the good times and great friends you had in college, but know that some of the best times are ahead of you. I can't wait to see where your journey takes you. I'm so proud of you and can't wait to celebrate in a few weeks!
